The Caribbean Sport and Sustainable Development NGO (CSSD) promotes sport as a fundamental tool for sustainable development in the Caribbean. Founded in 2023 in Guadeloupe, CSSD focuses on peace, education, health, and cultural understanding, aligning with the UN's 2030 Agenda. Through community projects and strategic partnerships, we aim to foster social cohesion, enhance human rights, and improve the quality of life across the region.
Founder & President.
Former semi-pro basketball player.and after more than 15 years of experience as a sustainable development consultant in the Francophonie of the Americas, Marvin proudly launched Caribbean Sports & Sustainable Development in 2023
Through CSSD, he actively promotes sport to achieve the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) in the Caribbean. He acts as a facilitator to encourage collaboration and dialogue between Caribbean states, civil society, Caribbean sports federations, clubs, and the media.
Marvin places particular emphasis on the promotion of sports as a vector of sustainable development through various fields such as cooperation, tourism, culture, health, education and environmental protection.

Raising awareness among civil society
One of the main missions of CSDD is to raise awareness among civil society in the Caribbean of the effectiveness of sport as a tool to achieve peace and development goals. This awareness raising aims to show how sport can contribute to greater social cohesion and conflict resolution.
Coordination of efforts
CSDD also has the mission of leading and coordinating the efforts of various actors including governmental, non-governmental and sports organizations to highlight sport as a valuable tool for peace and development.
Encouraging collaboration and partnerships
CSDD actively promotes sports collaboration and partnerships between different actors, including sports federations, governments, civil society and the media, to strengthen development and peace in the region.
Inclusion of sport in the development agenda
The NGO campaigns for sport to be included in the development agenda, ensuring that its social, cultural and humanitarian dimension is integrated into local and regional sports policies.
Studies and analyses on the impact of sport
Finally, the organisation conducts studies and analyses to attest the contribution of sport to human progress and to identify the challenges faced by the various stakeholders, in order to provide appropriate solutions.
Respect for traditions and human rights
At the heart of its concerns, CSDD ensures respect for Creole traditions and cultures and ensures that the principles of human rights are observed, particularly those of children and young people.
